The WSRA Trustees met on Tuesday 8th March via TEAMS. Amongst the items discussed were:
- Minutes of the Previous meeting – on 8th February were approved and are available for members to view in the members section of this website.
- 4160 Ltd – Trustees were advised that a joint statement has now been issued.
- Locomotive 4561 – JAG and JSDG are working on a project plan and budget update to complete the loco by late 2023 or early 2024 at the latest. There will be 100th birthday celebrations for the loco in October 2024.
- Rolling Stock – Trustees were pleased to note that negotiations with the PLC for the hire of the QB set in 2022 will be completed and the agreement signed, shortly. Negotiations continue for the remainder of the WSRA MK1 fleet. EDITORS NOTE: both agreements have now been completed and signed for 2022.
- Grant Giving:-
- Trustees noted that the Blue Anchor project is being held over until the 2022-2023 winter.
- Trustees agreed to help fund repairs to the Williton Station Building by providing £2,000 towards the costs.
