Thanks to donations received, the WSRA has provided 2 lorry loads (40 tonnes) of ballast for the West Somerset Railway.  

The ballast was delivered to Dunster Yard on Monday 8th January and is ready for use over the winter as the infrastructure teams get to work on the track.

There is a lot of work to be done this winter and the team will still need more ballast to make the track safe for passenger transport.

Lots and lots of ballast.

Please will you help this winter by buying a bag of ballast for only £13.

If 40 people buy a bag of ballast we can buy a whole lorry load of ballast.  We’ve already purchased 2 lorry loads this winter.  Thank you. Can you help us make that 6 and keep the trains running on the West Somerset Railway.
