The West Somerset Railway Association is delighted to be sponsoring the return of Bagnall Saddle tank 2996 for the WSR’s Golden Jubilee Weekend of March 28th and 29th. Fifty years ago and carrying the name “Victor” it worked the first round trips on the West Somerset Railway between Minehead and Blue Anchor. Thanks go to the loco’s owners and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway for making it possible to see the engine in WSR action for the first time since 1988.
