Application

These General Terms and Conditions apply to use of the WSRA website, including purchase and use of products and services offered thereon. By using the website and/or placing an order you are accepting these terms and conditions. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

WSRA means the West Somerset Railway Association, an incorporated Charity, and includes its trading subsidiary WSRA Promotions LTD.

West Somerset Railway Association is the primary support organisation for the West Somerset Railway, promoting and supporting the heritage of the railway.

Prices of all goods and services for sale shown on the website include VAT, where applicable. The online sales facility is available in English only.

Membership
Membership means membership of the WSRA which is sold via this website, as well as by phone and post.
Membership is for one year, unless otherwise specified, and is renewable.
Members agree to a limited liability of £1 in the event the company is wound up.
Members agree to abide by the Articles of Association, published on this website.

Our Contract

Your order is an offer to WSRA to buy the product(s) and services in your order. When you place an order to purchase a product or service from WSRA, we will send you a message confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order (the “Order Confirmation”). The Order Confirmation is acknowledgement that we have received your order, and does not confirm acceptance of your offer to buy the product(s) or the services ordered. We only accept your offer, and conclude the contract of sale for a product ordered by you, when we dispatch the product to you. Your contract is with WSRA for membership, lottery and donation products and services. Without affecting your right of cancellation set out below, you may cancel your order for a product or service at no cost any time before we dispatch the product or commence delivery of the service.

Right of Cancellation

You may cancel your order without giving any reason within 14 days from the day on which you receive the goods purchased.

You must inform us (WSRA) of your decision to cancel your order. You may submit your request either by email or phone. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning these goods. You must return goods in a saleable condition. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication before the 14 days’ cancellation period has expired and return the item to us.

Effects of Cancellation

We will reimburse all payments received from you for the goods purchased, no later than 14 days from the day on which we received the above communication. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back.

Placing an Order

To place an order and make payment select your payment method and Click on ‘Submit’. You will then be transferred to our secure online payment pages, powered by third parties (Paypal). If you select to pay by BACS( Faster Payments), it is your responsibility to initiate the payment separately, via your bank. Your order will be held and not processed further until we are able to confirm receipt of payment.

Payment can be made using: credit/debit card, paypal or if preferred by BACS or by cheque for memberships.

You will receive confirmation of your order by email. You should check your order and contact us by email or phone as soon as possible if there are any errors. If you have selected to pay by BACS, please ensure that you actually make the payment. Your order will not be progressed until we are able to confirm payment.

Please note that Membership cards may take up to 28 days to arrive. 

We will endeavour to replace any goods received that are damaged or faulty, or offer a full refund if it is unavailable. You will be required to provide proof in the form of photo images or by returning the item.
